Jamaican Cuisine
Traditional Jamaican FavouritesIf you have ever had a ‘wicked’ (delicious) steamed fish, then you are way ahead of the game. But the Ackee and Saltfish (Jamaica’s National dish) is a must have! Normally enjoyed with boiled green bananas, ripe plantains or rice, this lovely dish is a Sunday morning favourite for many Jamaicans, but can be enjoyed any time of the week.

The Jamaican Patty is traditionally a spicy beef pie in a tender and flaky crust & is sought after worldwide; so much so they are frozen & exported to the US, Canada & England. The cocktail sizes are perfect for parties!. Other fillings used in Jamaican Patties include chicken, soy, ackee, lobster, cheese & shrimp but beef still reigns supreme. Jamaican patties can be enjoyed by themselves or as some Jamaicans do with a freshly baked 'coco' bread for a very filling meal.. Hot Jamaican Patties are definitely another of those MUST-DOS when in Jamaica! .
