Meet Certified Executive Chef de Patisserie Lincoln Peterkin
Executive Pastry Chef Lincoln
Peterkin, born 1970, attended and completed his secondary school education at Maldon Secondary School in St. James.
He began his journey towards becoming a chef at age 17.
His first job was at a local pastry shop in Montego Bay where he developed a
passion for the art of pastry making.
Lincoln’s pursuit of more knowledge in this area took him to
the Holiday Inn Hotel where, after completing his training as a pastry cook, he
was employed.
After three years there, he moved to Sandals Royal Caribbean Jamaica where he also
spent three years as a pastry cook; developing a wider knowledge in pastry.
Chef Peterkin is certified by the Culinary Institute of
America (C.I.A) as an Executive Chef. Not only has Chef Peterkin mastered the art of pastry making but also that of ice sculpting.
HIs achievements to date are as follows:
2013 winner at the chocolate fantasy show in New
Mexico
2012 Silver and bronze medalist at the Taste of
the Caribbean.
2011 taste of Jamaica culinary arts show Pastry
Chef of the year and gold medal for wedding cake.
2004 & 2005 two time winner of the chocolate
fantasy show in New Mexico.
2004 JCDC culinary arts show Pastry chef of the
year
1996-2004 JCDC culinary arts show has been
awarded 9 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 11 bronze medals
1998 JCDC culinary art show Chef of the year
