Growing up in the hills of St. Elizabeth, Uonie Lyn started cooking with her grandmother from the age of six. She began her professional career in 2000 at Breezes, Montego Bay after completing her studies at HEART Culloden in Westmoreland and Penn Foster in the US.

Between 2002 and 2008, Uonie’s achievements include being on the opening team of The Ritz Carlton Cayman; the first female Chef of the Year in the Jamaica Culinary Competition in 2003 and Gold in the 2008 Cayman Culinary Competition as well as Prime Minster Youth and Culture awardee’. 

With her expertise in local and international Cuisine, Uonie is currently the Executive Chef and Culinary Consultant for Hidden Bay in Runaway Bay.
