Grilled Conch with Honey Rum Sauce

60 minutes from preparation to serving, this dish is a great twist on a popular shellfish.

Here’s how you can make it yourself in the comfort of your own home.

PREP TIME: 60 minutes


YIELD: 4 Servings


  • 2 kg conch, cleaned and batted
  • 1 head garlic minced
  • 1 egg white
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  •  2 tbsp rums
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp malt vinegar

Honey Rum Sauce

  • 1 cup Honey
  • ½ cup sour orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Hot peppr sauce
  • 1 stalk scallion chopped
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Rum


  • Place conch with remaining ingredients in a stainless steel bowl. Marinate overnight. 
  • Heat gas grill to 350F 
  • Remove conch from marinade place on the Hot grill, cook 5 min per side. Serve with Honey Rum Sauce.

Honey Rum Sauce

  • Combine Sauce ingredients in a pot, simmer for 10 minutes

Serve and enjoy!
