Jamaica’s Jerk Chicken is world-renowned street food. So, when we learned of this sweet and tasty twist on the popular offering courtesy of Executive Chef Simone Walker Barrett, we just had to share it with you. We have the details below.

Here’s how you can make it yourself in the comfort of your own home.

PREP TIME: 1 Hour

DIFFICULTY: Easy

YIELD: 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 8 Chicken Quarters
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1tsp Black pepper
  • 6 tbsp. Jerk Seasoning

Guava Glaze

  • 1 cup Guava jelly
  • 2Tbsp cold butter
  • ½ cup orange juice

Directions

  • Season chicken quarters with salt, black pepper and Eaton’s Jerk seasoning marinate for 2 hours.
  • Pre-heat Gas grill to 370 degrees F. Arrange chicken pieces on grill, cook 15 minutes per side.
  • Using a pastry brush, glaze each chicken pieces, every 5 minutes until cooked through.

Serve immediately.
