Robert Bruce Joseph, the CEO and Executive Chef of both The Seahorse Grill and Robbie’s Kitchen brings more than 30 years of culinary experience to the table.
A Career Restaurateur and Chef, Joseph is locally renowned for his culinary skills and business acumen. His entrepreneurial career began in 1990 when he opened The Brewery on Montego Bay’s “Hip Strip” which remained a popular local hangout for businessmen, locals, and tourists alike, because of its friendly atmosphere and great food until its closure in 2009.
With the closure of The Brewery, Joseph concentrated on expanding his budding catering business until he was invited to manage the restaurant concession at the Montego Bay Yacht Club, a then members-only club in Freeport, Montego Bay, an invitation which he accepted.
In 2009, The Seahorse Grill was born and to date has proven to be a favourite hang-out for members and non-members alike, not just for the food but for the camaraderie that exists in this tranquil bayside setting.
With the success of The Seahorse Grill, Joseph decided to move forward to take over the location of the then Prince of Wales Pub, located at the Half Moon Shopping Village, and in May 2012, Robbie’s Kitchen was created.
Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere have made both restaurants popular places to dine and hang out, in the West and have proven great tools to drive customer loyalty and make Robert Joseph a “provider of choice”.
