Food is love creativity and passion! Raised in the hills of Portland, Ricardo Allen is a culinary professional that grew up in his grandmother’s kitchen where he learned how to cook various types of Jamaican meals. But Ricardo decided that he wanted to strive for excellence and decided to further his studies to become a Chef de Cuisine.
Chef Allen has held both the positions of Sous Chef and Executive Chef at the famous Trident hotel, which is where he met his mentor Chef Collin Brown, who was instrumental in helping him to refine his work and making it into art. Chef Allen has won several culinary competitions, among them, the coveted Taste Of Jamaica Chef Of The Year, 2016.
