Owner of Signature Cakes and Desserts Patisserie, Alecia Woodbine James, began cooking and baking for her family from the age of ten, all the time experimenting with different flavours.
Her fascination with food led her to pursue her food studies in Culinary Management & Patisserie at the University of Technology.
Alecia got her first job at the then newly opened, Ritz Carlton Rose Hall Hotel, where she remained for 8 ½ years having risen to the rank of Assistant Pastry Chef.
In pursuit of her dream, n November 2008, she launched her own Patisserie – Signature Cakes and Desserts in Montego Bay, Jamaica which supplies desserts, wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and pastries to several Restaurants, Coffee Shops, and Small Hotels.
Specialties offered by Alecia include an extensive array of:

- flourless cakes,
- gateaus & tortes,
- assorted puddings
- and more.
Of particular note is the fact that she also offers gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, and kosher specialty desserts.
