The Family Garden is a pesticide free farming business
located all around the community of Jack’s Hill in Kingston, Jamaica. Even the community school has a farm that raises money for their extra expenses. They grow cooking herbs, lettuce and other unique vegetables using a Hydroponic Farming method.
Living lettuce and herbs gives the consumer a longer lasting and better tasting herbs when they cook. The lettuce offers full nutritional value since they are still living and lasts much longer in the fridge than regular lettuce that loses 70% of nutrition after two hours of harvesting and lasts only days in the fridge. We also grow cut Herbs, Swiss Chard, Kale, Grape/Cherry tomatoes - they too are grown hydroponically.
